What you can rely on here, and what you cannot.

What this site is

An independent guide to travel permits. It tells you which permit a trip needs, what the issuing government charges, and the one official website to apply on. It is free to read and there is nothing to buy here.

This is not advice

Nothing on this site is legal advice or immigration advice, and reading it does not create any professional relationship. Immigration decisions turn on individual circumstances that a web page cannot know: your history, your other nationalities, previous refusals, the purpose of your trip.

For anything that depends on your particular situation, speak to the relevant embassy or consulate, or to a licensed immigration adviser.

Accuracy, and its limits

Every figure here is taken from the issuing government and dated. Even so:

Always confirm the current requirement on the official site linked from each page before you book or travel. If something here is out of date, please tell us.

Liability

This site is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on it, including missed flights, refused boarding, refused entry, or fees paid to a third party.

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

Links to other sites

Pages here link to government portals and, for comparison, name commercial visa agencies. Those sites are outside our control, and a link is not an endorsement. When you leave this site you are subject to whatever terms and privacy policy apply there.

We are not affiliated with any government, embassy, consulate or visa agency, and we do not act for any of them.

Using the content

Read it, print it, send it to whoever is about to make the same trip. If you quote a fee or a finding, a link back is appreciated so readers can check the date. Republishing pages wholesale is not permitted, mainly because a stale copy of a visa fee is actively harmful.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply in it. Consumers in the European Union and the United Kingdom usually keep the right to bring proceedings in their own country whatever a clause like this one says, and nothing here is intended to take that away.
